In honor of Thanksgiving here are some Turkey facts–

•Turkeys can die of heart attacks.  This was discovered when the Air Force wasattempting to break the sound barrier and fields of nearby turkeys would drop dead.

•If it is raining and turkeys look up they can drown.

•Benjamin Franklin pick for the national bird was the turkey.

•Only male turkeys gobble.  Females make a clicking noise.

•Sesame Street’s Big Bird is covered in turkey feathers died yellow.

•In 1920, U.S. turkey growers produced one turkey for every 29 persons in the country, today they make nearly one turkey for every person in the country.
