The Drowsy Chaperone, a “musical within a comedy”, is a show fresh off Broadway with five Tony Awards to its name. The show is touring the country and is currently at the San Diego Civic Auditorium. It’s a hilarious spoof of the typical 1920’s musical romp, narrated by a comical middle-aged man who is a musical junkie. With-over-the top song and dance numbers, great costuming and lots of talent, it is certainly an enjoyable time.
